Description
Short
Collapsle is a fast-paced match-three score attack roguelite set in the Gold Rush West. Create powerful synergies and score big, with tons of items, characters, customization options, and challenges to discover.
Long
Collapsle is a fast-paced match-three score attack roguelite with tons of content, customization, challenges, and synergies to discover.
Each run is a string of rounds with a rising score target. Swap gems to make matches, chain cascades for multipliers, and hit the target before you run out of moves. Between rounds, spend your earnings in the shop on relics and trinkets that bend the rules in your favor, then face a boss that bends them back.
Many ways to win. Focus on one gem color, making it appear twice as often as anything else. Increase the value of your gems. Turn your gems Shiny, or turn curses to your benefit. No single solution will work on every run, so you'll have to tailor your strategy to the opportunities that present themselves.
Many ways to play. Eight characters with varied abilities give you fresh ways to approach the game and open up new strategies. The Bandit lets you steal items from the shop. The Miner can turn useless stone into valuable diamonds. The Gambler can really let you high-roll, but you'll have to avoid going all-in on any one color. The customizable Depth system lets you tailor the game's difficulty to your taste, and it can be combined with a wide variety of Challenge scenarios that alter the rules of the game. Collapsle also has Steam Workshop support, so you can create your own content or customize your experience with mods other players have made.
Many more discoveries await. You can finish a run in 20 minutes, but with tons of variety and content to unlock, Collapsle will keep you coming back for one more game.
History
Collapsle started as a question: what would a match-three game look like if it borrowed the run structure, shop, and build-crafting of a deckbuilding roguelite? The answer became Experience Point Games' first title. The game was built in Godot 4, with a Gold Rush setting chosen for how naturally gems, gold, prospecting, and going bust map onto a score attack loop.
Collapsle was announced with a Steam store page and trailer in 2026 and is planned for release in Q4 2026 on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Features
- Score attack match-three with a roguelite spine. Clear a rising score target each round, buy items between rounds, and beat the boss at the end of each act.
- Eight playable characters, each of which changes how a run plays: the Trader, Princess, Prospector, Miner, Gambler, Jeweler, Bandit, and Counterfeiter.
- Relics, trinkets, and consumables that stack into synergies: boost one gem color, raise gem values, spread Shiny gems across the board, or turn curses into an advantage.
- The Depth system, a customizable difficulty ladder. Pick your modifiers, push past your best win, and face cursed bosses as you go deeper.
- Challenge scenarios that rewrite the rules, such as a board with a void at its center, a shrinking inventory, or a rush order on every round.
- Bosses with board-altering effects, such as Pressure, which shrinks the size of the board.
- Runs of about 20 minutes, with a wide roster of unlocks that keep new runs feeling different.
- Steam Workshop support for player-made items, characters, and boards.
- Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and full controller support.
- Seven languages at launch: English, German, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
