Focus on one gem color, making it appear twice as often as anything else. Increase the value of your gems. Turn your gems Shiny, or turn curses to your benefit.
No single solution will work on every run, so you'll have to tailor your strategy to the opportunities that present themselves.

Eight characters with varied abilities give you fresh ways to approach the game and open up new strategies. The Bandit lets you steal items from the shop. The Miner can turn useless stone into valuable diamonds. The Gambler can really let you high-roll, but you'll have to avoid going all-in on any one color.

The customizable Depth system lets you tailor the game's difficulty to your taste. Pick the modifiers you want, push your Depth past your best win, and face cursed bosses along the way.
Combine Depth with a wide variety of Challenge scenarios that alter the rules of the game, from a board with a void in the middle to a run with barely any room for items.

Meet the characters
Each character changes the rules of the game. Unlock them all by winning, scoring big, and cascading harder.
Trader
Starts every run with extra money and a random common Trinket.
With a fistful of dollars and a dream, he set out to find his fortune.
Princess
Can form matches from gems in a 2x2 square, and earns a bonus payout every round.
She demands gems, and lots of them, but only the finest will make the cut.
Prospector
Starts with an upgraded Wooden Nickel, a relic that rewards matching Pyrite.
They called him a fool. But look at all this gold! Who's the fool now?
Miner
Match a gem next to Stone to turn it into a Diamond.
He's never had much luck, so he's decided to make his own, one swing at a time.
Gambler
Each round, some gem colors score double and others score half. Play the odds.
He's all-in: today, he walks home either unfathomably wealthy or without a penny to his name.
Jeweler
More gems become Shiny. Matching a Shiny gem permanently raises that gem's value.
She has a discerning eye and a reputation to uphold.
Bandit
The first purchase in every shop is free, but some of her gems are locked.
It's her belief that people are too attached to their material possessions, so she does her part to relieve them of those attachments.
Counterfeiter
Gains a piece of Polished Glass at the start of each round, allowing her to profit again from a high-scoring move.
If she moves quick and moves on, she can get out of town before anyone's the wiser.
